Lockheed Martin Canada focuses its philanthropic efforts and support in two key areas:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education
- Military and veteran causes
As part of our efforts to educate and inspire tomorrow’s scientists, engineers and mathematicians, Lockheed Martin Canada’s approach to STEM outreach includes support for programs, events, and campaigns that focus on student engagement and achievement, teacher development, and gender and ethnic diversity.
Lockheed Martin Canada is also dedicated to supporting service members with programs that improve their lives and the lives of their families, enhance educational and training opportunities, and honour their selfless duty to our country.
These causes reflect the values embodied in our employees and are intrinsic to the Lockheed Martin culture. In addition to providing donations and sponsorships, the company encourages its workforce to volunteer both time and expertise to supporting local community groups and actively encourages employee fundraising events and activities. Stated simply, our employees care. They are talented professionals, but it is their genuine concern for others that helps make Lockheed Martin Canada an exceptional contributor to our communities.

Advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education is a critical focus for Lockheed Martin Canada. 美诱直播 know firsthand the importance of educating our young people in these areas. Our company’s future success depends on a constant supply of highly trained, highly capable technical talent. By committing to STEM education, we support programs that educate and inspire tomorrow’s scientists, engineers and mathematicians.

These achievements may be formally recognized through a patented invention, or less formal through the founding of a local coding club. Two of the five prizes go to Indigenous youth, and all the winners reflect passion and illustrate a positive impact on their communities.
FIRST Robotics Competitions

Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense six-week time limit, teams of 20 or more students are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors.
VEX Robotics Competitions
The VEX Competitions are presented by the?. For each competition, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to compete in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
Techsploration
Operating for nearly 20 years, this Nova Scotia not-for-profit organization focusses on reaching girls and young women with the aim to increase the number of women working in STEM fields. Studies show that women are still vastly under-represented in the STEM fields.??introduces high school students to a variety of women role models currently employed in science, trades and technology occupations.
